How Much would i expect to pay for Beauty Products such as Make up etc in Bangkok?

Posted by admin on November 27, 2009

Travelling there in December, Are the Prices of Foundation, Perfume, Eye shadow etc the same in Western Countries?

Last time I bought M.A.C. eyeshadow it’s 600-700THB, compare to western countries, Thai is considered cheap.

But I’d recommend you to buy from Duty free, it’s cheaper than in departmentstore, especially when you have a discount card of "King power Duty free" (10-20%).

On the other hand, the cosmetics selling in Department store always come with free gift set, while the duty free offer you nothing but a discount.
That’s why when Thais goes abroad, we always buy cosmetics from Duty free Bangkok for friends.

Most of the brands are available in Thailand, M.A.C, Shishedo, NARS, Meberline (Very cheap), SKII, Channel, YES, Dior, Clinique, Stilla, Makeup store, RMK, Bobbi brown, Lola, Shu Uemura, Anna Sui, etc.

Price are nearly the same. Pantene Shampoo is 129 baht ($4US) for example. You can get Henna for a pretty good price but products you find in the states are about the same.

They also sell a lot of skin whitener here because the farm girls want to look like the city girls and the city girls want to look like westerners. Meanwhile Westerners are coming here to get a nice tan.

well if u intend to buy for a branded ones then definitely its almost the same ( the price), but if u dont mind using the locally made beauty products in thailand u can see the big difference. beauty prodeucts made there are very cheap and have also the same quality which the branded ones have….if u are practically enough then i would suggest u buy the local products there so u can have more…..
